Dhaka, Feb 9 (risingbd24.com)-- The star-studded show of the 13th Uro-CJFB (Cultural Journalists’ Forum of Bangladesh) Performance Award, which was held on 28 December, 2012 at the Hall of Fame of Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, will be aired tonight at 7:50pm on Ekushey TV.
For his contribution to cultural arena, late writer-filmmaker Humayun Ahmed was honoured with a lifetime achievement award (posthumous) at the award-giving ceremony.
Humayun Ahmed’s mother Ayesha Faiz and his brother Ahsan Habib received the award from Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu who graced the occasion as chief guest.
Information Secretary Hedayetullah Al Mamun had been there as special guest.
The programme was also attended, among others, by Harunur Rashid, chairman and managing director of Globe Soft Drinks Ltd, and Abdus Salam, chairman and CEO of Ekushey Television Ltd.
CJFB President Anurup Aich, Tamim Hasan, its general secretary, and Enam Sarkar and MS Rana, its advisers, spoke on the occasion.
Sajal and Mostafa Kamal Raz received awards for best actor and director respectively in television category. Bindu and Nowsheen shared the best actress award while Nirab and Shokh bagged best model awards.
Habib Wahid and Porshi shared the best singer award for the year while Arfin Rumey received the best music director award. Best band of the year went to Lalon.
Shakib Khan and Popy received top awards for acting in film category.
In between the award-giving ceremony, leading singers, including Kumar Bishwajit, Samina Chowdhury, Habib Wahid, Arfin Rumey, Sajal, Shokh, Nirab, Farah Ruma, Moushumi and Mimo, performed at the star-studded programme.
