2 drug trader held with arms, ammo in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two alleged drug traders and seized arms and ammunition from their possession in Porabari area of Gazipur city corporation.

The detainees’ are- Mehedi Hasan Nadim, 37, hailed from Naskanda area of Kotwali police station in Mymensingh and Kamal Hossain, 50, hailed from Akua area.

In a press conference, RAB- 1 confirmed the matter on Friday night.

RAB said, acting on secret information that two drug trader are heading towards Mymensingh from Tongi, the elite force identified the location of a private car using latest technology.

Later, a team led by lieutenant commander Abdullah Al Mamun arrested the two drug traders along with 3,000 pieces of Yaba pills, a foreign made pistol, a magazine, five rounds of bullets, three mobile phones and Tk26,615.
